Today, the bicycle is 200 years old. Many have passed since German Baron Karl von Drais tested the first two-wheeled model.
Since then, raise your hand if you have never experienced the pleasure of a walk in the center, with your nose up to smell the spring; or the excitement of looking at your elegant shadow on the floor; or maybe the thrill, because you are going downhill and suddenly the brakes don’t work.
So wherever you are (especially if you are in Cork, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Rimini, Sofia, Malaga, Berlin … in one of our ETN headquarters), take a bike, a bicycle or a biciclò and celebrate the birthday of this wonderful mean of transport. And since there is no bike ride without a song, below there is a tune to whistle (this was easy, I admit it)
Oggi la bicicletta compie 200 anni. Tanti ne sono passati da quando il barone tedesco Karl von Drais testò il primo modello a due ruote.
Da allora, alzi la mano chi non hai mai provato il piacere di una passeggiata in centro, con il naso all’insù ad annusare la primavera; oppure l’emozione di guardare la propria ombra elegante sull’asfalto; o magari il brivido, perché siamo in discesa e all’improvviso i freni non funzionano.
Per cui ovunque ti trovi (soprattutto se sei a Cork, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Rimini, Sofia, Malaga, Berlino..insomma in una delle sedi ETN), prendi una bici, un biciclo o un biciclò e festeggia il compleanno di questo meraviglioso mezzo di trasporto. E siccome non c’è giro in bici senza una canzone, qui in basso trovi la musica da fischiettare (questa era facile, lo ammetto)
