Great Britain said no to Europe of peace, tolerance, said no to the Erasmus’ young people, to the possible offer to them to cultivate their dream anywhere they want, in wonderful countries. It said no to research, to funds on creativity, said no to the concept that are more things that unites us than those who divide us. Said no to the accommodation for all Europeans. To the possibility, offered to them, to decide where work or study.

Said no to a dream. The one thought by politicians who dedicated their life building it. Sewing up the hundred-year-old fractures and building, starting from the rubble of a devastating war. Joy for this it’s really sad. As British are today that woke up they understood that say goodbye to Europe meant say goodbye to their own national unit. British before, voted and then they tried to discover on google what the UE was. The one not so well informed, will understand that Game of Thrones, the famous TV series that they like very much, is financed from the creativity programme.

Cannot trade dreams on the immediate gratification’s counter. Cannot be triggered processes in the darkness to the cries of “only make things worse”. The 75% of young Britons aged 18-24 years old, voted to remain in Europe. While the entirety of the people over the age of 75 voted to leave. So let’s call it for what it is: a robbery of new generations’ future. A robbery at the young who saw the Europe as horizon and destiny.

Who wants to live, work, study and fall in love in a bigger place that the one they were born and raised. To them, we need to give answers. Are their dreams that Europe has financed, it’s their energy, passion and creativity that Great Britain has lost. It’s easier destroy that build. It’s easier to point the finger that to propose.  Europe financed the research, set in motion energy and talents, help underdeveloped region, financed education and training programmes. It’s not all finance and bureaucracy.

It’s the patients and complex research of a possible coexistence. It’s the certainty a long-lasting peace, is the consumers’ defence and the final instance of a justice that involves the man. Forget it is really serious and dangerous.
